New York City launched the United States’ first municipal Service Design Studio in October 2017. I am honored to be featured as the City’s first Design Champion to promote, teach and lead skills for better communication and design to improve access to NYC’s public resources.
In 2019, I was admitted into University of Pennsylvania’s Global Social Impact House, a global community of 18 social impact entrepreneurs/intrapreneurs came together in Belize, where we participated in community-building and leadership workshops to strengthen our local communities (pictured above).
WE NYC, Collaborator, 2020: I partner with the WE NYC team to mentor and host workshops in leadership, media and tech, and in design thinking.
St. John’s University, Mentor, 2019: Served as a mentor and judge for business school students completing their final projects in Service Design.
THE WOMB LAB, Fellow, 2019: Served as a fellow with 5 women leaders to navigate meaningful impact personally and professionally through the lens of service design over a one-year fellowship.
Parsons School of Design, Transdisciplinary Design Studio Guest Critic, 2018: Participated as a guest critic to students presenting final projects in their design studio seminar at the New School.
Service Design Global Conference, Participant, Dublin, Ireland, 2018: 500+ service designers and service design advocates come together to share back learnings, best practices, and advance knowledge and skills to serve their communities better.
Global Service Design Jam, Participant, New York City, 2018: A weekend “hackathon” in which service design enthusiasts compete globally to develop solution prototypes for their own cities based on a prompt from the Global Service Design Jam headquarters in Europe.
